Qwest DSL modems include routing capabilites as part of their base functionality.1 This eliminates the need for after market routers in most installations. This section lists setup information and troubleshooting tips for working with these modems. This section also includes our most frequently asked support questions and tips on diagnosing and correcting problems.
The only exceptions to this are PCI card based DSL modems (Cisco 605, Intel 2100, Intel 2200 and Best Data 700P) which are no longer made or actively supported. If you have a PCI based modem your connection will function only with a single computer and does not include networking capabilities.
