 Most modern operating systems come ready to connect to the Internet using a telephone line and modem. Avvanta has configured its network so that the default settings for these operating systems already work. The following operating systems use default settings to connect to our network and do not require special setup instructions:
- Mac OS X
- Windows XP (Home/Pro)
- Windows 95 / 98 / ME
The only additional information that needs to be provided is one of our Dialup Modem Numbers and your username and password. The username is your full Avvanta email address. (ie nobody@avvanta.com)
Additional Dialup Information For those operating systems or dialers that are unable to obtain certain information automatically, you may require the following additional information to successfully configure your system to dial into our network.

Note: This information should only used if your dialer is required to use it. Typically, this includes Mac OS prior to OS X, Linux/BSD/Solaris (KPPP, wvdial, etc), and Windows NT4.0. Windows versions other than Windows NT do not need this information. |
