CCC/AvvantaMail
The Communications Control Center (CCC) enables you to read your email from any standard internet connection, manage your account, setup autoresponders, control your email filters, and much, much more. It can be accessed from www.avvantamail.com.
Netscape 4 Email Setup
From the main Netscape Navigator window, select Edit, then Preferences.

From the Preferences page, click the + next to Mail & Newsgroups.Click on the Identity entry on the Preferences page.

Fill in your name as you want it to appear in the Your Name field.

Fill in your email address in the Email Address field.

Click on the Mail Servers entry on the Preferences page.


In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server field, enter mail.avvanta.com.

In the Outgoing Mail Server User Name field, enter your username. This is the left half of your email address, do not include the @avvanta.com portion.

Click on the Add button to add an incoming mail server.


In the Server Name field, enter mail.avvanta.com.

For the Server Type, select POP3 Server.

In the User Name field, enter your username. This is the left half of your email address, do not include the @avvanta.com portion.

Optionally, you can have Netscape remember your password by putting a check in the Remember password box. If you do not check this box, Netscape will prompt you for your password each time you retrieve your mail.

Click on

Ok
to save your changes and close the incoming mail server properties window.

Optional - Disable HTML formatting
Many email programs are not able to read HTML formatted messages correctly. Many spam filters will also filter HTML formatted messages. Following these steps will ensure that everyone you send email to will be able to read your messages.

From the Prefrences page, click on the Formatting entry.

Select Use the plain text editor to compose messages.

Select Ask me what to do if the message has HTML formatting option.

Optionally, you can select Send the message in plain text and HTML if you want to use HTML formatting and still have all email clients be able to read them.

Click Ok to save the changes.


Save your Configuration
Save your configuration by clicking on Ok on the main Preferences page.

Netscape should now be correctly configured to read email with your Avvanta account.
