 When you open Netscape there should be a small envelope icon,  , on the bottom right of the browser. Click on the icon to open up the mail portion of Netscape.From the Netscape Mail window, click on the Edit menu and select Mail/News Account Settings. to open the Account Settings page. |
 From the Account Settings page, click on the New Account button to open the New Account Wizard. |
 From the Account Wizard/New Account Setup page, select ISP or Email Provider and click Next. |
 From the Account Wizard/Identity page, enter your name as you would like it to appear in the Your Name field. Enter your email address in the Email Address field and click Next. |
 From the Account Wizard/Server Type, select POP Mail Server for the Mail Server Type. Enter mail.avvanta.com in the Server Name field and click Next. |
 From the Account Wizard/User Name page, enter your username in the User Name field. Your username is the first part of your email address. You should not include @avvanta.com. Click Next to proceed. |
 From the Account Wizard/Account Name page, enter your email address in the Account Name field. This will better help you distinguish between different accounts that you may have setup in Netscape. Click Next to proceed. | |
 From the Account Wizard / Congratulations page, click on Finish to save the changes and close the Account Wizard. |
 From the Account Settings page, click on Outgoing (SMTP) Server. In the Server Name field, enter mail.avvanta.com. Click the check box labelled Always use name and password and enter your username in the Username field. Failing to do this will prevent you from being able to send mail. Click the Ok button to save your changes and close the Account Settings window.Netscape should now be configured to send and recieve email using your Avvanta account. |
